Back After A Long Break cont...

Lunch at Devils Marbles
We didn't get to do the bus trip because the driver was ill so we moved on to Longreach which was only a 100k trip and we had a tail wind all the way (loved it)  we pulled into the Longreach C/van park which is huge but not a friendly cosy place but ok if not wet, then we went into town to find the swimming pool so I could get some training in while Marion sussed out the attractions and booked us in for a Cobb & Co coach ride and old time show, I did about 2000m swim but It was very hard as the water temp was 32deg ?? Today I did 1400m swim but paced myself better plus a 3.5k run along a cycle walking track which goes about 10k following the highway.
We did the show & coach ride then we did a bus tour around town and out to the Mackinon family  sheep station with the commentary being done by the owner and lunch being catered by his daughter, we loved it all, I then went for my final swim before leaving Longreach tomorrow, we are not sure of our destination for the day just yet .the weather is warming up the temp for the next few days predicted to be in the mid 30s .
Well we left Longreach and managed to it make to a place called Kynuna which is basically a roadhouse and pub with a couple of c/van parks, we stayed at the roadhouse (@ $20 a night)one which was in a beautiful location but it needed some TLC, and the couple who ran it needed some people management same for the person in the pub, we left next morning and made our way to Mount Isa stopping at Cloncurry for lunch.
I have been experimenting with different driving speeds and auto or non auto to see if I can improve our fuel consumption but results are the same, we can't improve on 20lit per 100k  the fuel prices to date have been about 1.30lit.
We went to the market with our neighbours that we had happy hour with last night then we did some catch up shopping before leaving Mount Isa with intentions of making it to Barkley Roadhouse which is a longer distance than we normally travel, we stopped at a roadside park for our usual coffee and was treated by a helicopter doing a roundup, we then had lunch and refuel ($1.36lit) at Camooweal  which was upset by a backpacker who decided that the driveway was a parking lot and because I am a very patient person I didn't say anything ?????? ha ha.
Alien at Wycliffe Wells
We made it to Barkley Station and we are now resting after a swim and dinner in the roadhouse, with the air con going as it is minimum temp of 20deg tonight, not sure of plans for next few days as there is meant to be rain and storms.  We sat and did nothing yesterday except for a stroll around the perimeter of the park after tea, then we moved on today after a steady rain all night but it was ok by morning, we got enough fuel to get us to the roadhouse at the 3ways as it was $1.80lit here, $1.67 at 3ways and $1.36 at Tenant Creek, we are now at Wycliffe Waters the fuel is cheap at a $1.28lit but they make up for it with the C/van park fees @ $35a night. I suppose it isn't too bad because we are getting free entertainment from our indigenous friends, It is supposed to be the UFO capital of Australia,  might see some aliens other than us? after we booked in another couple parked beside us and he asked me if my surname was Little, after saying yes he said so is mine and we are the only ones here (what a coincidence)tomorrow we are going to Alice Springs which is 10 days early but I will have more time to get fit again for the games. I hope.
PS: Although no one has challenged me I am doing the 22 push ups in 22 days & I am half way, will try to get a video on Facebook soon.

PPS: Posted video today
cheers for now......
